Love Of Life Orchestra

peter gordon and his love of life orchestra are testament to the incredible musical innovations happening in new york city in the late 1970s. those two compositions, underpinned with disco and gilded with noisy guitar bursts, hanging piano chords and saxophone wails, exhibit not only gordon's kaleidoscopic vision as a musician, but his precision as a producer and composer.

Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith

kaitlyn aurelia smith's formative years were spent communing with nature on orcas island in the northwest region of washington state, a place she describes as "one of the most magical and peaceful places i have ever been." though she wouldn't begin experimenting with modular synthesis until many years later, her creative work continues to be infused with and inspired by the vitality and serenity of orcas.

Craig Leon

best known as a producer, craig leon worked on landmark debuts from suicide, richard hell, the ramones and blondie. rather than ape the early nyc punk that he helped foster, leon's own music is filled with lush textures and pulsating rhythm boxes. comparisons can be made to german innovators such as cluster and la dusseldorf, yet nommos is an unbalanced cosmos marked by anxious melodies, aggressive shifts and spiritual overtones.
